Coochy Cream Original
When my boss told me about Coochy Shave Cream, I giggled at the name and didn’t give it a 2nd thought. Thank goodness she’s a pain in the butt because she wouldn’t stop raving about it, so I finally decided to try it to shut her up. I have always had an issue with itchy, red bumps and irritation from shaving (sometimes under my arms, but mostly the bikini area). I tried pretty much everything…soaking in the tub for twenty minutes before shaving, drug store shave creams, someone even told me to rub olive oil on before shaving. And before you ask, yes I did try that, and no, it didn’t help, it just made me feel greasy. So I decided, well if I am crazy enough to try olive oil, I might as well give this a shot!
I tried it for the first time in the shower, giving my pores a bit of time to open up. It’s somewhat thick – think of the consistency of a conditioner – and creamy smooth. I put the Coochy Cream on, well…my coochy and gave it a minute to sort of sink in and work its magic. I made sure to use a new razor. Yes, ladies, I know razors are ridiculously expensive these days – why I don’t know – but trust me, it’s worth it to spend a few extra bucks on new ones. Trying to reuse one over and over again will actually cause MORE irritation! Anyway, I used a new razor to shave and I went to town. I shaved EVERYTHING! The front, the underneath, the back door….I figured go big or go home, right? I rinsed off, towel dried and actually rubbed a dab of the cream into those areas I shaved as a moisturizer. And then I waited.
The areas I shaved felt smooth and soft and I didn’t get any red spots or bumps! I decided to really put it to the test the next day and use it on my legs and underarms (these are the areas on me that break out most if I shave and swim in the ocean or a pool). I followed the same procedure except this time I took a bath instead of a shower – just easier to soak my legs that way. When I was done, I packed up and went to my best friend’s pool to really see if this stuff could hold up. I’m pleased to say that I had no bumps or rashy areas, even after swimming in the chlorine! This stuff is great!
Two days later, and I still wasn’t seeing any issues. The ingredients in the cream soften even the most coarse hair which makes it easier to shave, and seems to slow the re-growth a bit (which is great for me because I have to shave every other day!) The moisturizers leave you feeling smooth and soft, even my man commented on how nice my legs felt! In fact, I made him try it on his face – he has very sensitive skin and tends to break out when he shaves, too. He LOVES it! (Now I hide mine when his runs out!) It comes in a variety of scents, but I prefer the Original one the best. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has sensitive skin issues, or for anyone looking to try something new! 5 out of 5 stars.
